Hey guys, it’s been a while. After much healing, I’ve decided to put the blog back up and let everyone back in. In case any of you were wondering/worried..life has been okay for us. Occasionally, I still break down and have a moment of tears- but the healing is definitely in progress. And thanks to good friends (both on the internet and in person), we were able to have some happiness and good memories come out of this.
I want to thank all of you who sent us both physical and verbal tokens of condolence. We got 5 bouquets of flowers all in one week- as well as a set of figurines, a fox locket, a bracelet, and a few t-shirts. I cried then and as I write this, I feel the tears starting to make an appearance again. Many of you who are friends with me on Facebook know that we got a puppy to keep Athena company, and to keep my mind busy in the silence. Her name is Daisy and she’s a Saint Bernard- I invite you to check out her pictures when you have a chance. We’ve also started fostering shelter dogs and attending adoption events as volunteers.
There are a few things I want to ask of all of you today…first, be respectful. Don’t come here with your words of hate or disagreement- you will be ignored.
And second, hug your pets tonight. Tell them you love them. Say you’re sorry for yelling at them, and that you will never take them for granted. Hold them for a moment and realize that you are their whole life. Take care of them, guys. You never know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone.
I love you all, I really do. Never before have I had the honor of being part of such a wonderful and supportive community of people. Vader would be happy to know how much he was loved by everyone.
With much love,
Tara, Eric, Athena, and Daisy.
May the fox always be with you.
